How to access Buka Buka Island?
✈️ New Flights to Ampana in 2025! ✈️
Great news! Starting March 22rd, 2025, Wings Air will launch twice-weekly flights between Palu and Ampana, operating every Thursday and Saturday at 11:00 AM (round trip).
This expansion adds to the existing Susi Air flights, which continue to operate every Monday and Friday morning.
Key Differences Between Airlines:
Wings Air: 72-seater ATR aircraft, tickets available online on all major platforms.
Susi Air: 12-seater Cessna, tickets must be booked offline and paid via an Indonesian bank account.

Now, you can reach Ampana by air four days a week!
📍 Flight Route: All flights depart Palu → Ampana in the morning and return Ampana → Palu immediately after.
Most common Itinerary to Reach Buka Buka Island (available every day)
1️⃣ Fly to Luwuk – Book a flight from Jakarta or Bali to Luwuk.
2️⃣ Road trip to Ampana – Our driver will pick you up at Luwuk Airport for a 5-hour scenic journey to Ampana.
3️⃣ Boat to Reconnect – Our private boat will take you from Ampana to Buka Buka Island.
📝 Important: If you book the 11:25 AM flight to Luwuk, you can arrive on Buka Buka Island before sunset!

💡 Important: Wings Air uses a 72-seater ATR and can be booked online, while Susi Air only has 12 seats and requires manual booking.

Boat shuttle cost from Ampana to Reconnect
There are two boat options to reach Buka Buka Island from Ampana:
🚤 Option 1: Long Boat (1-hour trip) – 500,000 IDR per boat (max 8 pax)
🚤 Option 2: Speed Boat (30-minute trip) – 1,000,000 IDR per boat (max 8 pax)
📍 The price is for a one-way trip from Ampana to Buka Buka. The same rates apply for the return trip from Buka Buka to Ampana.
⏳ Scheduling: Boat departure is arranged based on your arrival in Ampana.
⚠️ Important Notice: Boats do not operate at night (after 6PM)—please plan your trip accordingly.
🔄 Refund Policy: We do our best to ensure boats depart as scheduled. However, we cannot offer refunds if the departure is affected by:
✈️ Flight delays or late guest arrivals that prevent the boat from leaving on time.
⛈️ Weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.

🏝️ Buka Buka → Wakai (Sunset Beach, ferry access) – 1,500,000 IDR/boat
🏝️ Buka Buka → Kadidiri (Black Marlin, Lestari) – 1,800,000 IDR/boat
🏝️ Buka Buka → Una-Una Island (Sanctum, Pristine Paradise) – 2,500,000 IDR/boat
🏝️ Buka Buka → Malenge (Bahia Tomini, Sera Beach) – 2,500,000 IDR/boat

🚤 Boats must be booked at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability.
💰 Payment is made in cash directly to the boat captain.
